Actually, the way I see it – understanding what you *truly* want – in work, in play, in love – enables you to be committed.
People talk about wanting to run their own business, but they also highly value their time spent with their family or not working over the weekends to do something fun. So, they end up never committing to starting their business. Some others feel like they should settle down, but they enjoy the constant chase.
The conflicting goals would delightfully invite the ‘fear that likes to dress up and parade around as rational hesitation.’
To understand yourself, your values and true goals is to remove yourself from grasping on the tails of the luring distractions.
